FACILITY & CUSTOMER POLICIES
Facility Check-In Procedure
To ensure a smooth and well-organized experience, all swimmers must check in upon arrival for each registered program. Self-service check-in kiosks are available on-site and can be accessed using any phone number listed on your customer account. We recommend keeping all adult contact information up to date in the Customer Portal so parents, grandparents, or caregivers may conveniently check in using their own phone number when accompanying a swimmer.
Checking in not only confirms your arrival, but also provides important information for your session, including directions to your assigned pool area and basket color or number. Facility announcements will be made prior to each lesson to notify swimmers when it is time to enter the pool area and locate their assigned basket.
Please note that failure to check in before each swim will result in the swimmer being marked as a no-show. Repeated no-shows may result in removal from the lesson schedule, as consistent attendance is essential to maintaining safe, structured, and effective instruction for all families.
Code Of Conduct
We've built AquaTech Swim to be a welcoming, positive environment for every family — and we count on our community to help keep it that way.
We ask that all customers, guardians, and guests treat staff and fellow participants with courtesy and respect. The following behaviors are not tolerated on AquaTech premises or in any AquaTech-related communications:
- Abusive, threatening, or harassing language directed at staff or other customers
- Physical aggression or intimidation of any kind
- Bullying or discriminatory behavior toward any individual
- Conduct that disrupts the experience of other participants or interferes with staff performing their duties
AquaTech staff are trained to uphold these standards. If a situation arises that is inconsistent with this policy, we reserve the right to suspend or terminate services. In the event of conduct-based termination, a refund will be issued based on the number of completed lessons in the current billing cycle. Any remaining paid fees and makeup tokens will be forfeited.
- Abusive, threatening, or harassing language directed at staff or other customers
Safety In & Around The Pool
Swimmer Safety:
The safety of every child in our facility is our highest priority — always. We want to be transparent with families about how seriously we take this.
Swimming carries inherent risks, including the risk of drowning. Safety considerations will always take precedence over scheduling convenience, personal preferences, or other factors.
If a child engages in behavior that poses a risk to themselves, other swimmers, or instructors — and does not respond adequately to instructor guidance — we reserve the right to remove the child from the lesson and, if necessary, withdraw their enrollment. Examples of behaviors that may trigger this response include, but are not limited to:
- Grabbing, hitting, or spitting at other children or instructors
- Running alongside the pool
- Swimming out of turn or in an unsafe manner
- Causing panic or significant disruption to other participants
- Any behavior that prevents the instructor from maintaining the safety of the group
In the event of a suspension or termination for safety reasons, a refund will be provided based on the number of completed lessons in the current billing cycle.
Pool Deck Safety:
Deck supervisors are present during swim lessons to ensure student safety and monitor progress. Parents, spectators, clothing, shoes and towels are not allowed on the pool deck during lessons or AquaRec.
Fecal & Vomit Accident Avoidance:
Parents / caretakers are required to ensure their child uses the restroom before the enter the pool and periodically throughout their swim. Swimmers should immediately exit the pool if they need to use the restroom, as children should not relieve themselves in the pool. Additionally, while small, light snacks can be beneficial before a swim; large heavy meals and lots of liquid prior to a swim should be strictly avoided.
- Grabbing, hitting, or spitting at other children or instructors
Instructor Requests
Instructor assignments are managed by AquaTech’s Human Resources management team based on staffing, scheduling, availability, training, and program needs.
While we make every effort to provide a consistent lesson experience, AquaTech cannot guarantee a specific instructor, instructor gender, or permanent instructor assignment for any class.
Instructor changes may occur at any time due to illness, time off, staffing adjustments, schedule changes, or other operational needs. Because these changes are a normal part of program operations, advance notice is not provided.
An instructor change does not qualify for a refund, makeup token, class credit, or other account adjustment.
If you have a specific concern you would like to share privately, please contact us at office@aquatechswim.com. A member of our customer service management team will be happy to assist you.
Swim Attire & Hygiene Standards
Swim Attire & Swim Diapers:
Swimmers must wear swim suits. Swimmers with long hair should wear a cap or have hair pulled back into a pony tail. Children under the age of 3 and/or those who are not yet potty trained must wear a swim diaper underneath their swim suits.
Showers:
Showers are intended for brief rinsing only. The use of soap or shampoo is not permitted.
Facility Use & Shared Spaces
Spectator Viewing:
All spectators and swimmers waiting for their lesson must remain in the designated spectator viewing area. Parents must supervise their children at all times and remain on-site while their swimmers are in lessons or reservations. A facility audio recording will notify swimmers when it is time to enter the pool area and find their lane basket number and color for swim lessons.
Personal Belongings:
Open storage cubes are available for the purpose of storing clothing and towels during lessons. Personal belongings should not be left in changing stalls. It is advisable not to bring valuables into the facility; rather, they should be secured in a car trunk or glove compartment. AquaTech disclaims any responsibility for lost or stolen items.
Accessibility, Inclusion & Accommodations
AquaTech Swim is committed to providing a welcoming, inclusive, and respectful environment for swimmers and families. We do not discriminate on the basis of disability or any other protected characteristic, and we strive to make our programs and facilities accessible in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Unruh Civil Rights Act, and other applicable laws.
Requesting an Accommodation
If you or your child needs an accommodation to participate in our programs or access our facility, please contact us at office@aquatechswim.com. We will review accommodation requests individually and work with you in good faith to determine whether a reasonable accommodation can be made based on the swimmer’s needs, the structure of the program, safety considerations, and applicable law.
We aim to respond to accommodation requests within 5 business days.
Communication Needs
If you or a family member has a hearing, vision, speech, or communication-related need, please let us know in advance so we can make appropriate arrangements whenever possible.
Service Animals
Service animals, as defined by the ADA, are welcome in areas of our facility where participants and guests are generally permitted. Emotional support animals, comfort animals, and pets are not considered service animals under the ADA, but requests involving animals will be reviewed in accordance with applicable law.
Choosing the Right Lesson Format
We want every swimmer to be placed in a lesson format that supports learning, safety, and success.
Our group swim lessons follow a structured curriculum and typically include multiple swimmers in the class. Group lessons are designed for swimmers who can safely participate within the group format with the level of supervision and instruction provided by the class instructor.
Our instructors are trained in AquaTech’s swim curriculum and teaching methodology. They are not specifically trained to provide therapeutic services, medical support, behavioral intervention, or adaptive aquatics services requiring specialized credentials.
Because each swimmer’s needs are different, we encourage families to contact us before enrolling if they believe their swimmer may need additional support, individualized pacing, or a modification to the standard lesson format. We will review requests individually and discuss available options, which may include group lessons, private lessons, or another appropriate program recommendation.
Private lessons may be a better fit for swimmers who need individualized pacing, additional instructor attention, or a more customized lesson structure.
Instructor Assignments
Instructor assignments are managed by AquaTech based on scheduling, staffing, training, and program needs. We are not able to honor requests for instructors based on gender, race, ethnicity, religion, or other protected or personal characteristics.
If you have a specific concern related to participation, safety, a documented medical need, disability-related accommodation, or sincerely held religious belief, please contact us privately at office@aquatechswim.com so we can review the request appropriately.
For accessibility questions or accommodation requests, please contact office@aquatechswim.com.
